According to a report by The Times Of Israel on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, released hostage Edan Alexander appeared in full IDF uniform as he addressed an audience of roughly 1,000 Christian pastors and influencers gathered at the site of the October 7, 2023 Nova music festival massacre.
Speaking publicly in this setting, the American-Israeli former captive recounted his role in resisting the Hamas-led assault and described how his time in captivity strengthened his resolve to support Israel’s fight against the group.
Alexander told the delegation that he intends to use the information he gained during his months held in Gaza to aid the Israeli military. “I know the language, I know their culture, I know a lot of things about these demons. I just told myself there’s no way I’ll take this present and put it aside. I have to use it and return it,” he said, emphasizing that his experience had given him insight he believes can be put to strategic use.
He noted that this visit marked the first time he had worn his uniform along the Gaza border since returning home. Standing near the site of the massacre, he delivered a pointed message aimed at Hamas: “You gave me hell, I’ll give you hell back.” His appearance drew significant attention from the delegation, which represents the largest Christian group to travel to Israel at one time.
The visit was organized jointly by Mike Evans, founder of the Friends of Zion Museum in Jerusalem, and Israel’s Foreign Ministry. As part of the program, several other former hostages — Emily Damari, Tal Shoham, Moran Stella Yanai, and Aviva and Keith Siegel — also spoke to the group, sharing their personal accounts of captivity and survival. Evans presented each of them with the Here Am I Award, honoring their willingness to advocate internationally and raise awareness of the experiences of those taken hostage during the attack.
