Gumi: The Way That Man Is Going With His Comments, He Will Set Nigeria On Fire-Chris Nwandu

In an interview with AIT, the publisher of CKN News, Chris Nwandu, expressed strong dissatisfaction and anger over the recent statements made by Islamic cleric Sheikh Ahmad Gumi. Nwandu warned that Gumi’s continuous inflammatory comments could plunge Nigeria into chaos if not swiftly addressed by the authorities, stressing that such utterances were capable of igniting tension across religious and ethnic lines.

He further criticized the Department of State Services (DSS) for what he described as misplaced priorities, accusing the agency of focusing on arresting internet fraudsters while ignoring individuals like Gumi whose divisive rhetoric threatens national unity.

According to him, “An aspect I want to raise that is very fundamental is the issue of people like Sheikh Gumi. The way that man is going with his comments, he will set Nigeria on fire. One of his videos that was released during the weekend and I’m quoting him where he said, ‘whenever a Muslim becomes president of Nigeria, people will always want to kill and eliminate him,’ and the DSS is not talking; the DSS is going after yahoo boys and the rest.”
