GEJ: The Same Forces Are In Power, They’d Take His Name To The Toilet, Roll Him On The Ground- Kenneth Okonkwo

Kenneth Okonkwo, political analyst and politician, has cautioned former President Goodluck Jonathan against returning to contest in the 2027 presidential election. He explained that Jonathan would be walking into the hands of the same political forces that nearly destroyed his reputation when they were outside power. Those same people are now the ones controlling the system.

In a video shared by SYMFONI TV, according to Okonkwo, a return to politics would only expose Jonathan to fresh ridicule and reputational damage. He argued that Jonathan is vulnerable because of his past record as a president who governed for almost six years and because he once went against certain established political norms. With that history, he would likely become a target again in today’s highly competitive environment.

Okonkwo also pointed out that Jonathan has already acquired international recognition as a respected statesman. Stepping back into the harsh realities of Nigerian politics, he said, would risk staining that reputation. He questioned the need for Jonathan’s return, stressing that the country has many capable citizens who can take on the challenge of leadership.

Okonkwo pointed out that those calling for Jonathan’s return are not genuinely concerned about Nigeria’s future. Instead, they are seeking to use his goodwill and credibility to keep their political party afloat.

In his words, “The same forces are the ones now that are in power. They would take his name to the toilet, they will roll him on the ground. I’ve been in politics. And of course, he’s very vulnerable, he has been a former president.” See, More, Here>>>>
