Robinson Ewor, a former PDP Chairman in Rivers State, has asserted that President Bola Tinubu’s two interventions in the state’s political crisis indicate Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s failure to honor agreed terms.
Speaking in a media coverage by TVC, Ewor questioned the governor’s commitment to peace agreements. “For the president to mediate in your matter two times and you did not keep to the terms of the agreement. Is it God that will come from heaven before you keep to the terms? If the president mediate twice and you didn’t keep to terms, it means you cannot be trusted. We can’t trust him,” he said.
The former Fubara supporter insisted that many people remain unaware of the true causes behind the ongoing crisis. “I’m sure one day, one by one, they will discover the truth and the truth shall set them free,” Ewor stated.
He declared that the PDP in Rivers State now operates as a unified entity under single leadership aligned with the FCT Minister. According to Ewor, the party is no longer factionalized and functions under one chairman in accordance with Wike’s political direction.
