Edo State Govt want to know the income source of a 17 years boy who bought 14,000 hectares of Land

According to recent report from Vanguard News on 10th October, 2025, Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo in a recent press statement has recounted his team is keen to investigate a 17-year-old boy who purchased 14,000 Hectares of Land worth Millions of Naira.

The governor noted he must explain to the appropriate authorities in the state his source of income before any further moves concerning becoming the Land’s rightful owner.

Mr. Monday Okpebholo is a Nigerian businessman and politician who has been the governor of Edo State since 12 November 2024. He understands what it means for a boy at that age to become a Land owner which is not by inheritance.

He said ” You must explain your source of income to Edo State Govt. We are Currently Investigating this 17-Year-Old Boy Who reportedly purchased 14,000 Hectares Of Land With full payment.
