The former lawmaker who represented Kogi West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Dino Melaye has taken to his official X account on Tuesday March 31, 2026 to criticize the number of votes that the All Progressive Congress, APC got in some states during the 2023 presidential election.
In the post that Dino Melaye shared on his page, he said in the last presidential election, the former governor of Kano state Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso got more votes in just one state than President Bola Ahmed Tinubu did in 11 states.
Dino Melaye said in states like Taraba, Borno and many others, Tinubu didn’t perform well. He said the APC government will be defeated in the upcoming presidential election in 2027.
Dino Melaye stated that during the 2023 presidential election, the All Progressive Congress, APC had 22 governors, yet only few of the governors won their states for Tinubu.
