Chidi Odinkalu Reacts After Gunmen Killed Vice Principal And Abducted Schoolgirls In Kebbi State

Nigerian lawyer and human rights activist, Prof Chidi Odinkalu has reacted after gunmen stormed the Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School (GGCSS) Maga in Danko Local Government Area of Kebbi state and kidnapped several students.

The reaction of the human rights activist was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Monday, November 17, 2025.

According to The Cable, the gunmen killed the Vice Principal and kidnapped 25 schoolgirls.

However, Chidi Odinkalu has now shared his thoughts after the report surfaced online. In a post that he shared on his official X handle, he said the kidnaping of school children has now been normalized in Nigeria.

Here is what Chidi Odinkalu wrote on his official X handle;

“The abduction of schoolchildren in parts of Nigeria may have become so routinized that reports of such incidents no longer make it into the mainstream media nor do they attract attention or outrage”.
