In a recent interview on Channels TV, Senator Ali Ndume addressed the ongoing security challenges in Nigeria, calling for stronger and more decisive measures to tackle rising incidents of violence across affected regions.
He noted that the scale of insecurity in some parts of the country requires urgent and unconventional responses, especially in areas that have been identified as high-risk zones. Ndume emphasized that the government must be willing to take bold steps to protect lives and restore order.
According to Ndume, “Even if it means hiring attack helicopters and deploying them to black spots, you can do it.” He made the statement while urging authorities to consider all available options in strengthening military operations and improving rapid response to threats.
The senator explained that security forces must be adequately equipped and supported to effectively confront armed groups, adding that modern tools and technology can significantly enhance operational success. He stressed that delays or half-measures could worsen the situation and lead to further loss of lives.
Ndume also highlighted the importance of identifying and securing vulnerable areas, often referred to as black spots, where attacks are more frequent. He argued that targeted interventions in such locations would help disrupt criminal activities and restore confidence among residents.
