Senator Sani Musa, who represents Niger East Senatorial District, has expressed deep frustration over Nigeria’s worsening security crisis. He called on Senate President Godswill Akpabio to take decisive leadership, emphasizing that the spread of terrorism has gone beyond isolated incidents and now threatens every part of the country, as reported by DAILY POST on Thursday November 27 2025.
During a Senate plenary session, Senator Musa urged the red chamber to rise above political distractions and focus on protecting the lives of Nigerians. He pledged that the Senate would fully support any effort aimed at restoring peace and order across the nation.
Musa also criticized the justice system for failing to prosecute armed suspects effectively. He pointed out that individuals caught with assault rifles are often released without consequence, only for new attacks to occur shortly after. He questioned how such a pattern could continue without accountability.
Musa stated,
“Mr President, it is on you as our leader to tackle this issue head-on, without any fear or favour. We will stand for you, we voted for you. We should not be here playing politics with the lives of this country. We must own our responsibilities.”
