I’ve Been Keeping Myself For The Man That Will Be Deserving Of My New Virginity- Anunobi

Veteran Nollywood actress and cleric, Eucharia Anunobi, has announced that she has initiated legal action against Apostle Psalm Okpe, founder of the U.S.-based Fresh Oil Ministry International Church, over claims that he once had an intimate relationship with her.

According to a report by Premium Times on 19th January, 2026, the development follows the circulation of an audio recording on social media in which Mr Okpe was allegedly heard during a telephone conversation with another cleric, identified as Pastor Martin, claiming that he was romantically involved with Anunobi and had intimate relations with her for more than five years.

Reacting to the allegation, Anunobi shared a series of video statements on her Instagram page in which she categorically denied the claims, describing them as false, malicious, and damaging to her personal integrity and ministerial calling.

The 60-year-old actress stated that the comments have caused her emotional distress and form part of what she described as persistent efforts by Mr Okpe to discredit and undermine her ministry.

According to Anunobi, she has instructed her legal representatives to file formal petitions against Mr Okpe before appropriate Nigerian authorities, as well as U.S. security and immigration agencies, over what she termed defamatory statements aimed at tarnishing her public image.

She further expressed concern for her safety and that of her family, warning that Mr Okpe should be held responsible if any harm comes to her, her relatives, or her property, whether in Nigeria or abroad.

In further response to the allegation, Anunobi said she is willing to undergo medical examination to disprove the claim, maintaining that she has remained celibate since dedicating her life fully to Christian ministry nearly fourteen years ago.

She dismissed suggestions of a romantic relationship with Mr Okpe, insisting that their interactions were limited to financial assistance she provided in support of religious activities, not any form of personal or intimate involvement.

The actress also noted that while she has received marriage proposals and entered into engagements since her recommitment to ministry, none of those individuals could truthfully claim to have been intimate with her.

Speaking further, she said, “ I want to state here categorically that in almost 14 years since I have been midwived into ministry, I have been celibate and have been keeping myself for the man that will be deserving of my new virginity.”
