Distinguished Senator and former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, has flagged off the distribution of free school uniforms to over 300 schools across Abia North Senatorial Zone, covering Umunneochi, Arochukwu, Isuikwuato, Ohafia, and Bende Local Government Areas.
According to a media post by Senator Uzor Kalu on Sunday, 18 January 2026, in Umunneochi, pupils and teachers of Leru Central School, Umuchieze, received their uniforms and expressed gratitude to Senator Kalu for his continued support for education in the region.
His educational interventions include school renovations, distribution of educational materials, and free provision of school desks, among other initiatives.
The Senator’s distribution of uniforms and school desks is ongoing, reaching schools in all local governments across Abia North.
