Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has shared the reason behind his calm demeanor, explaining why he chooses not to shout or complain, a statement reported on the official X handle of THE CABLE on Sunday, January 11, 2026.
The governor made these remarks while addressing a congregation during a church service in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. His statement comes in the wake of comments from the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, who had said that the people of Rivers State would ultimately decide who governs the state at the appropriate time.
In the report, Fubara emphasized that his composure stems from his deep faith, noting that he does not need to raise his voice or publicly complain because he has God on his side. He stressed that his primary concern is the welfare of the people, particularly ensuring peace in Rivers State. According to the governor, harmony and stability will eventually return to the state through the special grace of God.
Speaking to the congregation, Fubara said, “A lot of you don’t understand that the reason why I don’t shout or complain is because I know that I have what is supreme, that is God. I want everyone to be relaxed. What is important is peace for this dear state.”
By making this statement, Fubara projected a tone of patience and spiritual confidence, suggesting that his approach to leadership prioritizes calm, prayerful resilience over public confrontations or loud expressions of dissent. He urged residents to remain composed and hopeful, framing peace as the cornerstone of progress and stability for Rivers State. His words highlighted a leadership style rooted in faith, tranquility, and the long-term well-being of the state’s citizens, rather than immediate political battles or reactions to criticism.
