We Are Going For State Police, We Will Do Forest Rangers, We Will Arm Them Against Bandits- Tinubu

According to Daily Post, President Bola Tinubu has unveiled plans to tackle Nigeria’s security challenges, which have persisted for over a decade, by introducing state police and forest rangers.

The president made this known during the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Executive Committee meeting held at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja.

According to Tinubu, these security personnel will be well-armed to effectively combat terrorism and banditry in the country.

“We are going for state police. We will do forest rangers. We will arm them. We will defeat those terrorists and bandits, we must do that,” he stated emphatically.

The president’s announcement is in response to the recent surge in killings and other nefarious activities perpetrated by criminal elements across the country.

Tinubu had earlier promised to establish local police in states to address the security concerns.

The move is seen as a proactive measure to curb the escalating insecurity in Nigeria and ensure the safety of citizens.

The president’s plan to arm state police and forest rangers is expected to boost their capabilities in tackling terrorism and banditry.

The president’s announcement has brought hope that the government is taking concrete steps to address the country’s security challenges.

The establishment of state police and forest rangers is seen as a significant step towards decentralizing security and bringing it closer to the people.

As the government moves forward with its plans, Nigerians are eager to see tangible results in the fight against insecurity.
