Jonathan Is Not The Person That I’m Talking About, The Three People, None Of Them Have Come Out -Ayodele

In a recent video on Facebook, Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has clarified recent comments attributed to him regarding former President Goodluck Jonathan and Nigeria’s political calculations ahead of future elections.

Speaking during a prophetic message, Ayodele dismissed claims that he was referring to Jonathan in earlier warnings about political contenders, stressing that the former president was not among those he had cautioned against.

“Jonathan is not the person that I’m talking about,” Ayodele said. “There was a time I was talking about three people that must not come out. The three people, none of them have come out.”

The outspoken cleric explained that his earlier statement was misunderstood, noting that his concern was centred on strategic political alignments rather than specific individuals already out of the race. According to him, if any of the unnamed individuals eventually emerge, he would openly inform President Bola Tinubu.

“If any of the three people comes out, I will tell Tinubu today,” he said.

Ayodele went further to offer what he described as strategic advice to the president, particularly on regional political balance. He suggested that while engagement with the South-East remained important, Tinubu must pay close attention to consolidating support in the North if electoral success is to be achieved.

“I think we should keep to the North and work on the South-East,” Ayodele stated. “But he should hold the North seriously if he wants to win.”

The cleric was careful to clarify that his comments were advisory rather than predictive, stressing that he did not categorically state that Tinubu would win, but rather outlined conditions he believed were necessary for victory.

“I didn’t say he will win. No,” Ayodele said. “I said he should hold the North if he wants to win.”

He maintained that his role was to offer guidance as revealed to him, urging political actors and the public not to misinterpret his words or attach unintended meanings to his prophetic messages.
