The War Wasn’t Just Between Iran And Israel: IRGC Chief Calls For Upgrade Of Stealth-Missiles

According to the Tehran times, Iran’s top Revolutionary Guard commander says the country is pushing hard to upgrade its stealth-missile capabilities, framing the effort as a direct lesson from the 12-day conflict with Israel and the United States earlier this year. The June clashes, he argued, showed Iran that future battles will be shaped not just by firepower, but by advanced technology.

Speaking at Imam Hussein (AS) University in Tehran on Sunday, Major General Mohammad Pakpour said Iran has carefully reviewed every detail of the fighting. For him, the takeaway is clear: the war wasn’t just between Iran and Israel.

“It had not been only the Zionist regime confronting Iran; rather, the Americans, Europeans, and many other countries had joined the confrontation, meaning Iran had effectively fought against global technology,” he said, describing what he sees as a coordinated effort by several world powers.

Pakpour said artificial intelligence played a central role on both sides, calling it a “fundamental factor” throughout the conflict. He claimed Israel and its allies now understand the cost of provoking Tehran, saying, “The adversaries have concluded in their assessments that they will not undertake such actions.”

But despite that assessment, he urged Iran not to slow down. He called on IRGC research centers, especially those tied to Imam Hussein University to help accelerate the development of new weapons and eliminate technical shortcomings.

One of the biggest priorities, he stressed, must be stealth technology for missiles. “If Iran can equip its missiles with stealth capabilities, it will be able to further increase the penetration rate of its missiles through the Zionist regime’s defense shield,” Pakpour said.

Iran continues to present the June conflict as an unprovoked assault. Israeli strikes on June 13 were followed days later by U.S. attacks on Iranian nuclear sites, prompting Iranian retaliation against targets in the occupied territories and a major American base in Qatar. Tehran claims those strikes helped end the confrontation.

Now, Iranian commanders warn that any new attack will trigger an even harsher response, one they say will be backed by stronger technology than before.
