“It Will Be A Wrong Concept But Will Be Very Serious” -Primate Ayodele Sends Warning On Repatriation

The Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a strong warning to Nigerian authorities concerning a looming wave of repatriation he foresees happening across the country in the coming year.

According to the cleric, the move—if allowed—will be a “wrong concept” with potentially destabilising consequences for national unity and social cohesion.

Primate Ayodele delivered the prophecy during a prophecy shared via Facebook, noting that several states may attempt to embark on internal repatriation exercises, targeting individuals considered “non-indigenes” or people perceived to be overstaying their welcome in certain regions.

He emphasised that such actions would be not only unconstitutional but also dangerous, capable of igniting tensions and raising ethnic suspicions.

“I see that repatriation will be happening next year across Nigeria,” Ayodele warned. “It will be a wrong concept but will be very serious. Any governor doing that should know they are inviting crisis. It is a wrong idea and it has no meaning.”

The cleric urged the Federal Government to step in immediately should any state attempt such an action. He noted that the constitution guarantees freedom of movement and residence for all Nigerians, and any policy forcing people out of a state based on origin, tribe, or political suspicion would directly violate national law.

“The federal government should see to that immediately,” he stressed. “Such a governor should be sacked because this kind of decision will bring confusion and disunity. It must not be allowed to stand.”

Ayodele also cautioned that political motives could be behind the anticipated repatriation attempts, especially as the nation gradually approaches another election cycle.

He advised Nigerians to remain vigilant and resist policies that threaten peace. According to him, any attempt to push people out of communities where they have lived, worked, and contributed for years will only heighten mistrust and weaken the country’s fragile unity.

He concluded by appealing to governors and political leaders to focus instead on providing security, improving infrastructure, and creating jobs, rather than pursuing divisive policies that could plunge their states into avoidable chaos.
