Social media users have taken to their official X account to react after one of the chieftains of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Senator Shehu Sani told US President, Donald Trump why Nigeria can not be described as a disgraced country.
This came after the United State President called Nigeria a disgraced country and threatened to kill Islamic terrorists if the killing of Christians doesn’t stop.
According to DAILY POST, the US President said that;
“If the Nigerian government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the USA will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now disgraced country to completely wipe out the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities”.
Reacting, Senator Shehu Sani said Nigeria is not a disgraced country because the country has never colonized, enslaved or invaded any country.
According to Senator Shehu Sani on his official X account;
“My country is not a disgraced country and will never be a disgraced country. Anyone who is proud of his mother who gave birth to him after months of labour in his ancestral land, will not accept his land being called a disgraced country”.
