Atiku: As Far As I’m Concerned, It’s High Time For Him To Go And Rest, And Thank God He’s Been VP-Raji

Public Affairs Analyst and political commentator, Comrade Ahmad Raji has called on former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to retire from active politics, saying it is time for him to rest after many years of service to the nation.

Speaking during an interview on Trust TV, Raji commended Atiku for his long-standing contributions to Nigeria’s democratic development, noting that he has played a significant role in shaping the nation’s political history. He emphasized that the former vice president has achieved enough and should now focus on mentoring younger politicians.

“As far as I’m concerned, it’s high time for him to go and rest and thank God he has been a vice president. He has contributed very well to the political development of Nigeria,” Raji stated.

He praised Atiku’s political resilience and dedication over the years, recalling his tenure as Nigeria’s Vice President from 1999 to 2007 under President Olusegun Obasanjo. However, Raji said it was important for seasoned politicians like Atiku to step aside and give room for new leaders with fresh ideas to emerge.

Raji argued that Nigeria’s democracy would benefit greatly from generational renewal and inclusivity, especially as the country continues to face economic and political challenges that require innovative thinking.
