Tinubu: I'm grateful to you for making my brother, from my own soil CDS

Spiritual leader, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for appointing someone from his village as the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS).

In a statement, Ayodele said he was personally grateful for the president’s choice, describing the appointee as his “own brother” and a source of pride for his community.

“Let me hail Tinubu for making CDS from my own village,” he said. “CDS taking somebody from my village, who’s like a brother, my brother the CDS. It is of the highest order.”

The cleric noted that the people of Ekiti State were thankful to President Tinubu for recognizing and elevating one of their own to such a significant national position.

So the people of Ekiti, they are grateful to you, President Tinubu,” Ayodele stated. “For making my own brother. let me put it, my own brother from my own soil, from my own town the CDS.”

Primate Ayodele’s remarks reflected a tone of pride and gratitude as he acknowledged the president’s gesture toward his native community. He emphasized that the appointment was not only a personal joy but also a source of celebration for the people of his state.
