Barrister Darlington Agomuo, a legal practitioner, has spoken about the statement made by Bishop Okonkwo Mike, the Presiding Bishop of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission, regarding former President Goodluck Jonathan
In an interview with Voice of The People TV, Agomuo said Bishop Mike once stated that Jonathan was operating like somebody under a spell when he was president in Aso Rock Villa and that even Nigerian pastors failed to save him from the spell
Agomuo said there are people who always rely on witchcraft or spiritual powers to gain political positions. He said some politicians believe they cannot succeed without seeking help from witches, wizards, or other spiritual forces
In Agomuo’s words: “I remember what Wole Soyinka said by the time they chased Jonathan out of Aso Rock, he said that the spell they placed on Jonathan would not have saved him in Aso Rock. And Bishop Okonkwo Mike, of TREM, he said that all the pastors in Nigeria couldn’t have saved Jonathan from the spell they placed on him in Aso Rock Villa”
