Tinubu: He Is The Most Powerful Democratically Elected President In Nigeria’s History – Dele Momodu

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dele Momodu, has revealed what may have led to the recent mass defections to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Speaking in an interview on Arise TV Prime Time, Momodu stated that the defections were likely the result of a combination of coercion and cajoling.

Momodu described President Tinubu’s government as operating under a “dictatorship,” noting that this might have contributed to the wave of defections. He emphasized the extent of President Tinubu’s influence, describing him as the “most powerful” democratically elected president in Nigeria’s history.

Speaking about the defections, he said:

“They are people that want more jollification, so they would go to where the action is (APC).”

He highlighted the role President Tinubu played in facilitating the defections, explaining that the power he wields may have influenced the process.

“The Federal Government of Nigeria is probably more powerful than the American president. President Tinubu is probably one of the most powerful democratically elected presidents in the history of Nigeria.

“And I predicted it somewhere in 2022 that this was going to happen, and a lot of people fought me,” he said.

“But it’s clear that someone, somewhere doesn’t want competition in 2027, and they would do everything to ensure that there are no strong candidates,” he continued.

Dele Momodu’s remarks suggest that President Tinubu wields significant power, which he believes has played a role in weakening the opposition.Continue, Full, Reading>>>>
