The former governor of Rivers state and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, Nyesom Wike has stated that Peter Obi performed woefully during his eight years as governor of Anambra state.
This statement was contained in a viral video that was posted on the official X handle of Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media to the FCT Minister on Thursday, October 16, 2025.
In the viral video that surfaced online, the FCT Minister stated that instead of developing Anambra state, Peter Obi invested the money that was meant to develop the state in a bank that he has the largest share so that he can be making profit at the expense of the state.
The FCT Minister said in his two years in office, he has performed better than Peter Obi did during his eight years in office.
He said aside visiting IDP camps to celebrate birthdays, Peter Obi has never done anything to prove that he loves his country.

“Mr Peter Obi, we just came into office two years ago, we have not even stayed for four years but you stayed eight years.
