According to a report by The Times of Israel on July 14, 2026, the United States military announced that it has concluded its latest round of airstrikes targeting military sites across Iran. The operation was carried out over several hours and focused on locations that US officials said were linked to Iran’s military infrastructure and maritime capabilities.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said the mission lasted five hours and involved coordinated strikes against multiple sites across the country. According to the military, the targeted areas included Bushehr, Chah Bahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa, and Bandar Abbas, all of which are considered strategically important along Iran’s southern coastline and near major shipping routes.
“During the five-hour mission, US forces successfully struck military targets across Iran including Bushehr, Chah Bahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa, and Bandar Abbas to further degrade Iran’s ability to attack commercial shipping,” US Central Command says. “CENTCOM forces employed precision munitions against Iranian coastal defense systems, missile and drone sites, and maritime capabilities.”
The military stated that the attacks were intended to weaken Iran’s capacity to threaten commercial vessels operating in regional waters. Officials said precision-guided weapons were used to hit coastal defense systems, missile launch facilities, drone installations, and other maritime assets believed to support Iranian military operations.
CENTCOM also released video footage that it said showed parts of the military operation and the strikes on the designated targets. The footage accompanied the announcement confirming the completion of the mission.
“American forces remain vigilant, lethal, and ready,” it adds, while releasing video of the strikes.
