A shocking 2011 incident from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, has resurfaced online after being shared again on social media.
Contemporary reports from Zimbabwean and international media detailed how a married man, Titus Ncube, unknowingly arranged to meet a sex worker who turned out to be his 20‑year‑old daughter.
According to coverage at the time by outlets including the Sunday Mail, Bulawayo Chronicle, UPI, the UK Mirror, and Huffington Post, Ncube, a father of three from the Nkulumane 5 suburb, had been experiencing marital difficulties. He reportedly rented a hotel room in Bulawayo and contacted an escort service.
When the woman arrived, both father and daughter allegedly recognized each other immediately. Reports state that Ncube collapsed in shock, while his daughter fled the hotel in tears. Her name was not publicly released.
Following the incident, Ncube gave interviews to local media in which he publicly apologized. “I am sorry for what I did. I spoke to my wife and my daughter. I apologised for my actions because I just wanted my family back,” he was quoted as saying in one report.
He also stated that his daughter had agreed to stop sex work and planned to return to school. According to the coverage, he sought counseling support for the family and acknowledged that marital tensions had contributed to broader family strain.
