Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Adviser on Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has reacted after residents of Abuja’s satellite communities publicly praised President Bola Tinubu for ongoing road construction projects in the area. In a post shared on his official X account, Olayinka noted that the residents also expressed appreciation for the efforts of the FCT minister.
On Friday, April 24, 2026, many residents gathered during an inspection of the road projects and were seen cheering both President Tinubu and Nyesom Wike. The large turnout drew attention as people sang solidarity songs and applauded the administration’s infrastructural efforts.
Wike, who previously served as governor of Rivers State, visited the project sites to assess the progress of the ongoing construction works. A video shared by Olayinka captured the moment residents enthusiastically welcomed the minister while commending the government’s commitment to development in the satellite towns.
One of the residents, Prosper Onyenaucheya, praised the FCT Administration under Wike’s leadership for focusing on projects that directly benefit local communities and improve their daily lives.
Speaking during the visit, Wike thanked the residents for their support and also conveyed President Tinubu’s message to the people.
