Human rights lawyer and political commentator Dele Farotimi has stirred fresh debate over Nigeria’s electoral leadership following remarks he made during an interview on News Central on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
Speaking candidly on the state of the nation’s democratic institutions, Farotimi questioned the credibility and intentions of Amupitan, particularly in relation to his position as Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
