Dave Umahi, Minister of Works, has urged South‑east voters to give President Bola Tinubu at least 80 percent of their votes in the 2027 election.
This was contained in a report published by THISDAYLIVE on Friday April 3, 2026.
Umahi made the appeal while opening a section of the Enugu–Onitsha Expressway at the Enugu end and announced plans for solar lighting and tree planting along the route.
He said the partial opening followed President Tinubu’s instruction to ease Easter travel and to reduce frequent trailer breakdowns at Ugwu Onyeama. He called on local leaders to speak up about the administration’s projects and to avoid splitting votes.
Umahi pointed out that solar lights and trees will be installed from Enugu to Onitsha and urged residents to vote strategically to ensure continued support and development for the region.
His words,
“We should give Tinubu not less than 80 per cent votes in 2027. Let no one split our votes. Be strategic in voting Tinubu and no one will do anything to you….See More
