The spokesperson of the African Democratic Congress, Bolaji Abdullahi, has revealed that the party has witnessed a surge in new registrations following a recent announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Abdullahi made this known in a post shared on his official X account on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
His remarks come shortly after INEC declared that David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola would no longer be recognized as the National Chairman and National Secretary of the ADC.
Highlighting the response that followed the announcement, Abdullahi stated that tens of thousands of Nigerians signed up to join the party within a short period. According to him, more than 40,000 individuals registered between 7 p.m. on the day the statement was released and 7 a.m. the next morning.
