The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that it will delete the names of the National Working Committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), led by David Mark, from its official portal, in line with a ruling of the Court of Appeal.
According to The PUNCH, in a statement issued on Wednesday, the commission explained that the action is intended to preserve the “status quo ante bellum” — the situation that existed before the dispute — pending the final determination of the substantive case currently before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
INEC noted that the move stems from an ongoing leadership tussle within the ADC, where two opposing factions, one led by Nafiu Bala Gombe and the other by David Mark, have both claimed control of the party’s national leadership.
The electoral body further clarified that the Court of Appeal, in its judgment delivered on March 12, 2026, instructed all parties involved to maintain the pre-dispute arrangement and avoid taking any steps that could influence or undermine the outcome of the pending case.
While he was reacting to the development, Femi Fani-Kayode on his verified X handle wrote, “Given the fact that they have been castrated by the courts and INEC and they no longer have a party and platform to stand and run on, the Association of Destructive C*nts (ADC) now have more to worry about than Femi Fani-Kayode and Reno Omokri.”
“Who are the ones that have been REJECTED now???
“They have been REJECTED by the courts, REJECTED by INEC, REJECTED by their original founders and REJECTED by the Nigerian people for being erratic, unstable, unreliable, unserious, irrational, epileptic, divided, crooked, hopelessly corrupt, palpably insane and wholly incapable of forming a united, disciplined and battle-ready political party!”
“They can’t even form a party and hold it together yet they want to rule Nigeria? God forbid!
“To be sure they are not just a danger to themselves but to our country….See More
