The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced that it will delist the National Working Committee of the African Democratic Congress, led by David Mark, from its official portal, in line with a directive issued by the Court of Appeal.
According to The Punch, in a statement released on Wednesday, the commission explained that it is reverting to the situation that existed before the dispute began, pending the final ruling of a substantive case currently before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The move comes amid an ongoing leadership tussle within the ADC, where opposing factions led by Nafiu Bala Gombe and David Mark have both claimed control of the party’s national leadership.
INEC further noted that the Court of Appeal, in its judgment delivered on March 12, 2026, instructed all parties involved to preserve the status quo prior to the conflict and avoid any actions that might influence or undermine the eventual outcome of the case.
