Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson Okojie has joined voices condemning the recent deadly attack in Jos, Plateau State, that claimed several lives.
In an emotional Instagram Story posted hours ago, Mercy shared a heartbreaking video and image from the scene of the attack on Angwan Rukuba in Jos, where gunmen reportedly killed not less than 20 people on Palm Sunday, with several others injured.
Captioning the post, the actress wrote: “Too Sad… Humanity…. Hmmm”
and added: “This picture has refused to leave my head.”
The video showed victims lying on the ground while people gathered around in grief. Mercy’s post has since sparked widespread reactions, with many Nigerians expressing sadness, anger, and calls for justice and better security in the region.
The incident has once again brought to the forefront the recurring issue of insecurity and violence in parts of Plateau State, leaving families devastated and communities in mourning.
