Peter Obi still remains the biggest threat in the 2027 presidential election- Tony-Uche Ezekwelu

According to a recent video by Trust TV on Monday, March 30, 2026, Political analyst Tony-Uche Ezekwelu has named Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, as the single biggest threat to the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Ezekwelu reflected on the disruptive impact of the Obidient movement, which galvanized massive support despite the Labour Party lacking governors or federal lawmakers at the time.

He noted that Obi’s political influence could have been even greater had he been active since the 2003 elections. Ezekwelu’s remarks come amid ongoing political realignments, including the recent APC national convention and mass defections of governors to the ruling party.

He warned that President Tinubu’s aggressive consolidation of power is driven by a desire to control the political space and neutralize the growing threat Obi poses.

His Words: “ If that could happen within a few months when Peter Obi came out, imagine if he had been active since after the 2023 elections. Any careful watcher will know that Peter Obi still remains the biggest threat in the 2027 presidential election…..See More
