One of the chieftains of the All Progressive Congress, APC and former Kaduna lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani has reacted after the President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama announced that the United Nations General Assembly, UNGA has declared the enslavement of Africans as the gravest crime against humanity.
The reaction of Senator Shehu Sani was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Friday, March 27, 2026.
Here is what the Ghanaian President wrote on his official X handle
“I cannot think of a better way to honour our forebears on the day of remembrance than to have the majority of the world’s countries affirm that the trafficking and enslavement of nearly 13 million human beings is, indeed, the gravest crime against humanity”.
However, Senator Shehu Sani has now shared his thoughts after the post surfaced online. In a statement that he shared on his official X handle, he said the dementia of history has been corrected with the categorization of slavery as the gravest crime against humanity.
The former Kaduna lawmaker commended the President of Ghana for doing what many African leaders failed to do.

“Those who voted against the resolution have the skeletons of slavery in their cupboards. Slavery is the major factor why the black race is racially, wrongly, unacceptably and disgustingly categorized as the inferior race”…….See More
