There’s No Governor From Abia To Zamfara That Can Walk Amongst His People Without Security -Yusuf

Political analyst Usman Yusuf has raised concerns over the state of security and governance in Nigeria, stating that no governor can freely interact with citizens without heavy protection. His remarks were made in a video shared on Symfoni.

Yusuf’s comments reflect growing public discourse around insecurity, economic hardship, and leadership accountability across the country—from Abia State in the South-East to Zamfara State in the North-West. He suggested that the reliance on tight security by political leaders highlights a disconnect between the government and the people.

According to him, “There’s no governor in this country from Abia to Zamfara that can walk amongst his people without those big security. None, and the other endorsement they all need is the endorsement of God Almighty.”

He further criticized what he described as worsening living conditions, attributing hardship and division to poor leadership decisions.
