Israel, US Carry Out Extensive Strikes Across Iran

‎According to a report by Leadership, on Tuesday March 24, 2026, Israel and the United States has carried out extensive attacks across Iran after Iran renewed its threats to hit power plants in Israel and other countries in the region if its own facilities are targeted.

‎The Israeli military said it conducted a second round of attacks on Tehran on Monday, explosions were reported in the eastern part of the city, with Iranian air defences activated in response, journalists described the blasts as unusually large.

‎Reports indicate that the strikes targeted not only military sites but also residential areas, hospitals, and schools, in Khorramabad, a child was killed and several people injured after a residential building was hit.

‎In Tabriz, six people died in attacks on homes, authorities said more than 80,000 civilian buildings, including hospitals and schools, have been damaged in various cities.

‎The US military said it targeted a production site in Qom province used for drones and aircraft linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), meanwhile, Iran continued to fire missiles at Israel overnight, sirens sounded in northern Israel, where authorities said Iranian and Hezbollah attacks were ongoing.

‎The conflict has increased fears over oil supplies, Iran had threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz, a vital passage for one-fifth of global oil, US President Donald Trump extended a deadline for Iran to reopen the strait by five days, citing ongoing talks.

‎Iran denied any dialogue with the US, saying the comments were meant to influence energy markets, Iran’s Defence Council warned that attacks on its southern coast or islands could block Gulf shipping routes for a long time.
