According to the Times of Israel, Iran’s military leadership has issued a fresh warning, raising global security concerns amid ongoing tensions.
Gen. Abolfazl Shekarchi, a senior spokesman, said Friday that “parks, recreational areas and tourist destinations” around the world could become unsafe for those considered enemies of Tehran.
His statement signals a broadened scope of potential targets beyond traditional conflict zones.
The remarks have intensified fears that Iran might return to tactics involving attacks outside the Middle East as a way to exert pressure.
Shekarchi reinforced the message with a direct and confrontational tone, declaring, “We are watching your cowardly officials and commanders, pilots and wicked soldiers.” This language underscores the heightened rhetoric and signals Tehran’s readiness to confront its adversaries on multiple fronts.
At the same time, Esmail Qaani, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Force, publicly praised Iran’s regional allies.
In remarks reported by Iranian media on Friday—his first since the escalation—Qaani commended the “resistance front” for its role in confronting the United States and Israel in the ongoing conflict.
