During an interview aired on Symfoni TV, the President of the National Association of Nigerian Students, Atiku Isa, shared the motivation and resolve that led him to visit Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, at a correctional facility in Sokoto.

Isa explained that his decision to undertake the visit was driven by a strong personal conviction. He revealed that he was fully prepared to accept any repercussions that might arise from his attempt to gain entry, emphasizing that his actions were guided by principles of justice and fairness.

According to him, he traveled with minimal personal items, a deliberate choice reflecting his readiness to face possible arrest. Isa added that his stance was intended to highlight the importance of remaining resolute when confronted with institutional challenges.

Clarifying his intentions, Isa stressed that the visit was not influenced by political interests. Instead, he described it as an effort to engage directly with the situation and gain a clearer understanding through firsthand observation.
