Iran Was Rushing Its Nukes Into Bunkers, So We Struck Before They Could Blackmail America —Netanyahu

Prime Minister Netanyahu says the joint U.S.–Israeli strikes were necessary now because Iran was rebuilding its nuclear and missile infrastructure in hardened underground bunkers. He warns that these new facilities could have made Tehran’s ballistic missile and atomic bomb programs fully operational again within months. If the world waited, he argues, the sites might soon be impossible to hit.​

He explains that previous operations, including Israeli strikes on nuclear and missile sites, did not change the regime’s determination. Instead, Iran “started building new sites, new places, underground bunkers” to shield its programs. Netanyahu says this proved the mullahs had not learned any lesson and remained fixated on destroying America and Israel.​

According to him, acting later would have allowed Iran to blackmail the United States and threaten every country in the region and beyond. He insists that only a resolute American president like Donald Trump, backed by a strong alliance with Israel, could make the decision to strike when it still mattered.​
