A pastor has stated that he and a reverend were kidnapped by bandits while they were going for a wedding in Niger State.
In an interview on the Lucky Udu Experience Show, the pastor said that as they were travelling, armed men stopped them on the road. He explained that the armed men were wearing military uniforms and that the only way to differentiate them from real soldiers was the kind of shoes they were wearing.
The pastor stated that he and the reverend were dragged into the bush for several hours. He said they were tortured and forced to call their families to demand ransom. He added that they eventually escaped from the kidnappers at night.
In his words: “On our way going, around 9 a.m these people stopped us by the road. As they stopped us they were wearing soldier uniforms. When they stopped us, one at our front told us to come down from our bike. When we came down we saw another bandit behind us, both of them were carrying heavy guns that scared us.
