Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades Drops Bold Statement, Reveals Members Killed In Israeli Airstrike

The Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, announced that one of its operatives died alongside several family members in an Israeli airstrike near Khan Younis on January 31, 2026.

According to a report by The Times of Isreal on February 8, 2026, the operative was Hazem Rabhi Abu Hadaid, whom the group described as one of the heroes of its commandos unit.

According to the Palestinian Center for Human Rights, a Gaza-based organization critical of Israel, Abu Hadaid, aged 39, lost his life inside a tent for displaced people.

The strike also killed his father Rabhi, 69, his brother Muhammad, 36, his sister Hejar, 27, his son Jibril, 8, his daughter Sham, 7, and his niece Lia, 5 (Muhammad’s daughter).

The Hadaid family later reported on social media that another woman and child from the clan died later from injuries sustained in the same attack.

That day saw a broader series of Israeli airstrikes across Gaza, which Palestinian sources said resulted in at least 32 deaths overall, as reported by Hamas’ civil defense agency.

These operations struck various sites and individuals linked to militant groups.

The Israel Defense Forces explained that the strikes targeted four commanders from Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, along with a weapons depot, an arms manufacturing facility, and two rocket-launching positions.

The military stated these actions responded to a ceasefire violation the previous day, when eight gunmen, including a Hamas commander, emerged from a tunnel in Rafah, southern Gaza.
