Kwara: When I Saw Motorbikes Coming, 3 People On Amry Uniform, All Of Them Were With Ak-47- Abdulkarim

A resident of Woro community in Kwara State, Muhammed Abdulkarim has recounted the terrifying moment armed men stormed the area in a deadly attack that left residents traumatized and displaced.

Speaking during an interview on News Central TV, Abdulkarim described how the assailants arrived in large numbers, riding motorcycles and dressed in military-style uniforms, creating confusion and panic among villagers who initially struggled to determine whether they were genuine security personnel.

“When I saw motorbikes en masse coming, three-three people on army uniform. All of them were with rifle, AK-47,” he said, recalling the moment the attackers entered the community.

According to him, the sight of the armed men sent shockwaves through Woro as residents scrambled for safety. He explained that the attackers moved swiftly and appeared coordinated, wielding sophisticated weapons that overwhelmed the community. The sound of gunshots soon filled the air, forcing families to flee into nearby bushes and farmlands.

Abdulkarim noted that the attackers’ choice of military attire made the situation more frightening, as some residents initially hesitated, unsure whether to approach or run. He said it quickly became evident that the men were not legitimate security operatives when they began shooting indiscriminately.

The attack, which is believed to have been carried out by suspected terrorists, has heightened fears among residents of rural communities in Kwara State, where concerns over security have been growing in recent months.
