People Used To Run Away From Me In Church, When Children See Me They Run To Their Mothers -Iya Shapon

Yeye Olajumoke Shonola, an actress popularly known as Iya Shapon, has stated that her first role as a witch in a movie was a turning point in her career, as it opened up new opportunities for her in the movie industry

In an interview with Behind The Fame African A-List, Iya Shapon said playing the role of witches affected how people saw her in real life. She stated that some of her church members used to run away from her because of the kind of roles she played, but she did not allow that to bother her. She added that she attends the Cherubim and Seraphim Church

Iya Shapon also said that sometimes when children see her, they quickly run to their mothers out of fear because of the kind of roles she is known for

In Iya Shapon’s words: “The first major job I did was when someone disappointed my boss and I had to take over the role. That role opened doors for me. Some people used to run away from me in church but I did not care. I attend Cherubim and Seraphim Church. Sometimes when children see me they run to their mother”
