51 Iranian Lawmakers Order Foreign Minister To Declare Total War On Abraham Accords

Fifty-one Iranian lawmakers have formally urged Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to declare Iran’s firm opposition to the Abraham Accords.

According to a report by Iran International on February 16, 2026, they demand that he adopt a clear revolutionary stance against the US-brokered normalization plan.

The lawmakers insist that Iran’s position must be stated transparently without any ambiguity.

In a strongly worded written warning presented during a parliamentary session on Monday, the group of legislators called on the foreign minister to explain the full dimensions of the proposal.

They specifically want him to outline how the accords affect Islamic countries and the broader Muslim world. The lawmakers view the agreements as a serious threat to regional stability and Palestinian rights.

The Abraham Accords represent a series of normalization deals brokered by the United States during Donald Trump’s presidency.

These agreements began in 2020 and enabled several Arab nations to establish formal diplomatic, economic, and security ties with Israel.

The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain became the first countries to sign on, followed later by others including Morocco and Sudan.

Supporters describe the accords as a historic breakthrough for peace and cooperation in the Middle East. Critics, especially in Iran, condemn them as a betrayal of Arab and Muslim solidarity.
