Wike’s Senators: Rivers People Don’t Know Who They Are. They Are Sitting Down There – Hilda Dokubo
Hilda Dokubo, the head of the Rivers State Labour Party, has taken to social media to voice her worries over Senators who were purportedly selected by Nyesom Wike, the FCT minister, to represent Rivers State in the Nigerian Senate.
On her official Instagram page, she shared a post and brought out the fact that these senators have not yet interacted with their people, casting doubt on their ability to carry out their duties effectively.
This declaration was made in response to Wike’s criticism of Senator Ireti Kingibe, implying that she has not performed well in Abuja.
Dokubo stressed that Wike ought to have respect for Senator Kingibe, who was duly elected to her office and has actively sponsored many measures while in office. Her support of Kingibe emphasizes how important it is for public officials to be held accountable.
Dokubo went on to explicitly criticize Wike, reminding him of the senators he had dispatched to represent Rivers State. She pointed out that “some of them have not coughed since they got to that Senate,” demonstrating these delegates’ total lack of participation.
