According to report from Vanguard Newspaper on Tuesday, November 5, Doyin Okupe, the former spokesperson for a past presidential candidate, has announced that he will not support Peter Obi, the ex-governor of Anambra State, moving forward. Okupe was previously the director of Obi’s presidential campaign but stepped down following a court conviction for money laundering. He later resigned from the Labour Party after the elections.
Since leaving the Labour Party, Okupe has become an outspoken supporter of President Bola Tinubu’s administration. His criticism of Obi intensified after the former governor’s remarks regarding the economic challenges facing the South-West region, despite Tinubu’s representation from that area.
