When I Was In APC, PDP, I Was Sponsoring Them; I Never Asked For Political Position – Kenneth Okonkwo

In a recent interview with Arise News, Kenneth Okonkwo, a lawyer and politician, clarified his stance on his relationship with Peter Obi and his political affiliations. Okonkwo emphasized that he has no personal grievances or problems with Obi, whom he considers a brother, and has never made any personal requests from him.

Okonkwo highlighted his history of supporting political parties without seeking personal gain, citing his time in the APC and PDP. He emphasized that he has always contributed financially to the parties and sponsored party activities without demanding any political positions.

Okonkwo dismissed rumors that he plans to return to the APC, stating that it’s ridiculous to suggest he would go back to a party that has “inflicted Nigeria with so much trouble.” He referenced Charly Boy’s description of the APC and PDP as “sniper and otapiapia” (meaning toxic and harmful), emphasizing that he shares the same view.

This interview aims to set the record straight on Okonkwo’s political affiliations and his relationship with Obi, demonstrating his commitment to the Labour Party and his disassociation from the APC.

“I don’t have any personal grievances or problem with my brother (Peter Obi), I love him and cherish him. I have never disagreed with him in anything personal, you know why? I have never made any personal request from him. since I was born, I have never asked for any political post. When I was in APC, I was supporting the APC, I was given them money, I never asked for any Political position. When I was in APC, I got a Secretariat for them for my ward, for my Local Government and I was sponsoring it through out my career in APC”

“When some dimwits began to say, is he going back to APC because of money? No, I give money, I don’t take money. I spend for political party and I demand nothing from them. The same thing happened in PDP when I was in PDP. So it’s ridiculous for somebody to say I want to go back to APC, to look for who?.
