According to THE GUARDIAN news report, the lawmaker representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District, Senator Ahmed Wadada under the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has said him and his colleagues(other senators) are willing to sacrifice their allowances and remunerations to enable Nigerian workers to earn N150k as minimum wage in the country. Senator Wadada made this revelation to newsmen during an interaction session in the Keffi Local Government Area (LGA) of Nasarawa State on Tuesday.
The politician said he was influenced by the present economic reality an average Nigerian worker is facing in the country. Addressing further that his proposal will go a long way in alleviating poverty and low purchasing power. Expressing confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration of approving a decent befitting minimum wage for workers.
