They Attacked Policemen. Protesters Shouldn’t Bother To Continue With This Protest-Kayode Egbetokun
According to Channels Television, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun has strongly condemned the recent unprovoked attacks on policemen and other security agents. The protests, which have gained significant momentum under the banners #EndBadGovernance and #EndBadGovernanceProtests, have seen thousands of Nigerians taking to the streets to demand significant political and social reforms.
In a statement issued earlier today, IGP Egbetokun addressed the violent incidents targeting security personnel, urging protesters to cease their demonstrations to prevent further violence and chaos. “There were unprovoked attacks on policemen & other security agents…my advice is that they (protesters) should not bother to continue with this (protest),” Egbetokun stated.
