Strike: ‘All The Banks Complied Except GT Bank, They Are Even Trying To Arrest Us’ -Hadiza Kacimi
The NLC Secretary monitoring committee banks, Comrade Hadiza Kacimi has alleged that all banks, except Guaranty Trust Bank (GT Bank), have refused to comply with the strike action by Labour in Kano state. She expressed concern over GT Bank’s aggressive actions, including attempts to arrest them.
She emphasized that their efforts are aimed at benefiting the entirety of the Nigerian populace. She stated that their fight transcends individual interests and is centered on the collective welfare of Nigerians. She urged the financial institution to join the strike action by Organised labour.

She said in an interview with Channels TV, ”All the banks complied except Gt Bank, they are even trying to arrest us. So we are begging that they should understand that we are fighting for all and not for only us in Nigeria. We are fighting for the benefit of Nigerians. So I’m begging them that they should understand that we are not here to harass anyone and we are not stopping anybody from withdrawing his or her money.
