Severally, If We Meet In Public, The President Would Say, Ndume Why Are You Not Coming? – Ali Ndume

The Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Ali Ndume, has said that the people surrounding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are not allowing people to go and see him.

Speaking during an interview with Arise News on Friday, Ali Ndume said that several times when they met in public, the President had asked him why he has not been coming to the Aso Rock Villa to see him.

He said that in response to that, he told the President that anytime he looks for him he would come and see him. He said that he once told his staff that the people around him (Tinubu) are keeping people out of the Villa.

Ndume said that the Aso Rock Villa is now like a graveyard because people are not allowed to go and see President Tinubu.

He said that even he as the Chief Whip of the Senate does not have access to the President.

He said, “Let me tell you one thing, the President, severally, if we meet in the public would say, ‘Ndume, why are you not coming?’ And I would say, ‘No Mr President, when you look for me I will be there.'”

When asked if he has ever told the President that the people around him are not allowing people to see him, Ndume said, “I said it once to one of his staff that they are the people that are keeping us out of this place, and so I would not struggle to come and see Mr President.

“But I have an obligation to speak for the people, or speak for my people, or speak as a Senator.”

It should be recalled that during an interview with BBC Hausa a few days ago, Ndume had said that President Tinubu has been “fenced off and caged.”

Ndume said that even some ministers cannot see Tinubu, not to mention the members of the National Assembly who do not have the chance to see the President and tell him about the hardship and economic challenges in the country…..See_More
